Brewers have chance for sweep in Sunday matchup
The Brewers take the field Sunday with a chance to sweep the Cincinnati Reds while continuing their five-game winning streak.
If the Reds playoff chances seemed distant before, the Brewers’ convincing start to the series has made it seem nearly impossible for Cincinnati. The Brewers will look to put the nail in the coffin with DL Hall on the mound, fresh back from injury.
Rhys Hoskins will slide into the two-hole in the batting order today, setting the stage for a slightly altered batting lineup. While Jackson Chourio still leads off, the heart of the order is taking on a slightly new shape.
Behind Hoskins, Gary Sánchez will bat third and play catcher. William Contreras, though, will still be in the game as the designated hitter and cleanup.
Willy Adames then slides to fifth, also working with a different double-play partner. With Brice Turang out of the lineup, Andruw Monasterio will slot in at second base.
Hall’s return will be the primary focus ahead of the match as he duels the dangerous, but sometimes inconsistent, Nick Lodolo.
First pitch is set for 1:10 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
