Injury Notes & Roster Moves
- Brewer Hicklen was selected to the 40-man roster to open up the All-Star break last week as Oliver Dunn was moved from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL. Hicklen, who has just four MLB ABs, is hitting .273/.382/.572 with 19 homers, 57 RBIs, and 26 steals in 75 games with Triple-A Nashville this season. Dunn hit .221/.282/.316 with a homer and seven RBIs in 41 games with Milwaukee prior to his injury. He’ll be eligible to return in mid-August.
- Rehab assignments everywhere! Gary Sánchez, Devin Williams, and DL Hall were all sent on rehab assignments with the Nashville Sounds, while Joe Ross is also on the verge of returning to the majors as he rehabs with Nashville.
- Jared Koenig was activated from the 15-day IL prior to Sunday’s game and Joel Kuhnel was designated for assignment, with the open 40-man spot immediately going to Tyler Jay, who was acquired from the Mets on Sunday afternoon in a mini trade for minor leaguer TJ Shook. Jay will head to Triple-A Nashville.
