The patch with Uecker’s signature over a plaid background will be worn throughout the season
The 2025 season will be filled with tributes for Bob Uecker, who passed away last month at the age of 90. One of those will be a uniform patch that the team will wear throughout the season, and the Brewers unveiled the patch this morning.

Adam McCalvy took a deeper look at the patch in an article this morning. The patch has Uecker’s signature over a baseball. Behind it is a background of plaid, which is a throwback to Uecker’s plaid sportscoats he wore for years. The patch is on the sleeve with the wheat ball logo (or the M logo on the road jersey), which likely will switch around based on the player’s dominant arm (that has the Northwestern Mutual patch on it).
The patch will begin appearing on uniforms right at the start of spring training, with the first game on February 22 against the Reds. It is the first of several plans to honor Bob Uecker in 2025. One other that McCalvy mentioned is a public celebration of life for Uecker that will take place sometime during the summer.
