Majority of fans predict Crew will finish above .500 for the fifth consecutive season
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Milwaukee Brewers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
In this week’s Reacts Survey, we asked fans if they think the Brewers will finish with over or under 81.5 wins, which is what the line at FanDuel Sportsbook was set at entering the week, though it’s risen slightly to 82.5 wins since that time.
Through 12 games (and currently playing their 13th in a 2-2 tie with Colorado as of this writing), the Brewers sit at 7-5 on the season, putting them on pace for another 90-plus win season. For reference, the Brewers haven’t won fewer than 81 games (excluding the COVID-19 season of 2020) since 2016. Since then, they’ve won 86, 96, 89, 95, 86, 92, and 93 games.
As I said earlier this week, I still think the Brewers will finish above .500 and ultimately compete for another division title, especially if they can continue to play right around .500 as their pitching staff gets back to full strength in the coming weeks and months.
Our survey yielded results that seem to fall in line with that belief, as 83% of fans said the Brewers will finish above that line, and just 17% said they’d finish below. Can the Brewers make it eight straight seasons (again, excluding 2020) with 82-plus wins? Only time will tell.
