A survey from MLB executives and coaches applauds the Brewers
The Brewers have been voted the third-best front office in baseball, a credit to the team building that’s given the Brewers consistent success over the past few years.
The Athletic conducted a survey of 40 of the “top-decision makers from across the sport.” The Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays were the only teams to finish ahead of Milwaukee. The Brewers didn’t receive many first-place votes, so seemingly it was a consensus that the Brewers fall just outside that tier with a franchise like the Dodgers.
The Brewers have been known even in public circles to be a well-run team. They’ve thrived by getting the most out of unheralded pitchers and an influx of homegrown talent. Milwaukee has never won a title, but the franchise is well-respected across the industry for its ability to give the team a fighting chance for much of the past decade. The Brewers have made the playoffs in six of the last seven seasons, as they’ve regularly been the best team in the division. One general manager called the Brewers “the gold standard of a small market.”
