Two of Milwaukee’s top prospects move one step closer to the majors
The Milwaukee Brewers have promoted the team’s No. 2 and No. 4 prospects to Triple-A and High-A, respectively. Jacob Misiorowski, the team No. 2 prospect and MLB’s No. 32 prospect, is headed to Triple-A Nashville, while Cooper Pratt, the team No. 4 prospect and MLB’s No. 93 prospect, is headed to High-A Wisconsin.

Misiorowski, a 6-foot-7-inch, 22-year-old right-handed pitcher, was taken in the second round in the 2022 MLB Draft. In two-plus seasons in the minors, he’s 7-6 with a 3.48 ERA and 218 strikeouts across 152 2⁄3 innings in 41 starts. He has electric stuff, but he has also dealt with command issues, allowing more walks (99) than hits (95).
In 19 starts with Double-A Biloxi this season, he’s 3-4 with a 3.50 ERA and 105 strikeouts across 79 2⁄3 innings, walking 50 batters and allowing 52 hits. In his two starts since the All-Star break, he spanned seven innings and allowed six runs, all of which came in his first start (3 1⁄3 innings, six earned runs on six walks and three hits). His MLB.com projection is to reach the majors in 2025, though he could be a late-season candidate to join the Brewers’ rotation or bullpen, as they’ve done with prospects like Freddy Peralta and Corbin Burnes in previous years.
Pratt, who turns 20 in August, was drafted in the sixth round in 2023 out of high school. A potential shortstop-of-the-future for Milwaukee, Pratt has been solid in his one-plus season between Rookie ball and Low-A Carolina, hitting .304/.398/.402 with three homers, 44 RBIs, and 29 steals across 85 games while also providing above-average defense.
In 73 games with the Mudcats this season, he’s hit .295/.394/.395 with three homers, 36 RBIs, and 25 steals. He’s projected by MLB.com to reach the majors in 2027.
