Mike Boeve rakes in his return to Double-A Biloxi as all four affiliates go at least .500 on the week
Each week, I’ll be bringing you a roundup of the Brewers minor league affiliates, including score updates, key players, and more. Here is the week 19 roundup.
Triple-A Nashville
The Sounds split their six-game set with the Gwinnett Stripers (51-57 overall; 16-17 second half) to move to 56-51 overall and 18-14 in the second half, four games behind Columbus for the International League West lead.
Wes Clarke led the offense with two homers this week, also tying with Tyler Black, Vinny Capra, Owen Miller, and Brewer Hicklen for the team lead with six hits. Black, Capra, and Francisco Mejía each homered as well, while Isaac Collins led the team with five RBIs and Hicklen went six-for-six on the basepaths, bringing him to 36 steals on the year, including 10 in the last two weeks. As a team, the Sounds hit .236/.340/.356 with six homers and 27 runs scored.
Carlos F. Rodriguez made a pair of strong starts, allowing two runs and striking out nine over nine total innings. Chad Patrick picked up the win in his start, allowing one run and striking out six over 5 ⅓ innings. DL Hall was also solid in another rehab appearance, allowing two runs and striking out five across five innings. Jacob Misiorowski had a rough Triple-A debut, allowing two runs on three walks and a hit batter over one inning without picking up a strikeout. The Sounds pitching staff finished the week with a 5.47 ERA, striking out 54 across 51 innings.
The Sounds return home where they’ll welcome the Indianapolis Indians (49-55 overall; 16-15 second half) for the first and only time this year.
Double-A Biloxi
The Shuckers won four of five against the Rocket City Trash Pandas (46-53 overall; 13-18 second half) before the series finale on Sunday was suspended in the first inning. That game will be rescheduled for September during the Shuckers’ series against the Trash Pandas. The Shuckers remain in first place in the Southern League South second-half standings, up three games on Pensacola with a 21-11 second-half record and a 51-48 overall record.
Mike Boeve returned from injury and raked in the last three games against the Trash Pandas, hitting .583/.583/1.167 with seven hits, including two homers, while driving in six. Carlos D. Rodriguez and Brock Wilken both collected a pair of homers as well, driving in five runs each. As a team, the Shuckers hit .242/.326/.418 with a league=best eight homers and 27 runs scored.
Logan Henderson continues to turn in strong starts, as he allowed two runs over 6 ⅓ innings while striking out eight in a winning effort. Tate Kuehner picked up the win and struck out five over six innings in his Double-A debut, while Shane Smith struck out eight over just four innings. Brett Wichrowski was also nails, allowing no runs over six innings with five strikeouts. The pitching staff finished the week with a 3.13 ERA, tallying 48 strikeouts in 46 innings.
The Shuckers head to Montgomery to take on the first-half champion Biscuits (58-44 overall; 18-15 second half). Biloxi is 11-7 against Montgomery this season.
High-A Wisconsin
The Timber Rattlers went 3-3 against the South Bend Cubs (40-62 overall; 13-23 second half) to move to 65-36 overall and 23-12 in the second half.
Luke Adams and Jadher Areinamo each slugged a pair of homers while hitting over .500 this week. Areinamo also led the team with five RBIs, matching Eduardo Garcia’s total as he led the team with six hits. Cooper Pratt homered in his High-A debut but ultimately went just 3-for-18 (.167/.200/.333) on the week. As a team, Wisconsin hit .237/.356/.418 with eight homers and 31 runs scored.
Brian Fitzpatrick, Patricio Aquino, and K.C. Hunt highlighted the pitching staff with five scoreless innings each this week. Fitzpatrick led the team with seven strikeouts, while Hunt collected six and Aquino struck out just one. Tyler Bryant converted a save and pitched three scoreless innings across two appearances with four strikeouts. As a staff, the Rattlers finished the week with a rough 6.30 ERA, striking out 43 batters over 50 innings.
The Rattlers head to Quad Cities to take on the River Bandits (47-54 overall; 17-19 second half). Wisconsin is 8-4 against the Bandits this season.
Single-A Carolina
The Mudcats took four of six against the Charleston RiverDogs (47-52 overall; 20-14 second half) to improve to 61-39 overall and 20-15 in the second half.
Eric Bitonti slugged a pair of homers in his first week with Carolina, also picking up a double and six RBIs over 23 at-bats. Fellow promotee Josh Adamczewski also homered, hitting .333/.520/.722 with four doubles, six runs, six RBIs, and six walks. Daniel Guilarte led the team with nine hits this week, slashing .429/.500/.524. As a team, the Mudcats hit .290/.390/.430 with four homers and 34 runs scored.
Daniel Corniel had another strong start, allowing no runs with five strikeouts over four innings. Anthony Flores was solid in long relief, allowing just a walk with four strikeouts over five innings. Dikember Sanchez allowed one hit and no runs over 3 ⅔ innings with four strikeouts in two appearances, though he was credited with a blown save. As a pitching staff, the Mudcats had a 4.02 ERA despite striking out a league-low 41 batters in 56 innings.
The Mudcats head to Fredericksburg where they’ll battle the Nationals (58-44 overall; 23-13 second half) for six games. Carolina is 5-7 against Fredericksburg this season.

*Misiorowski, Pratt, and Bitonti were all promoted in the last week as Milwaukee’s recent draft signees fill in the lower levels of the organization. Misiorowski moved from Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville, Pratt moved from Low-A Carolina to High-A Wisconsin, and Bitonti moved from the ACL Brewers to Low-A Carolina.
