The lefty returns to take on Reds in series finale
The starting rotation has taken on different forms for Milwaukee this season, but one of the expected starters is finally making his return.
On Sunday, the Brewers activated DL Hall from the 60-day injured list. The knee sprain proved more difficult to recover from than initially expected, but he will hopefully be back for the stretch run. He has a 7.71 ERA this year in 16 1⁄3 innings for Milwaukee. His minor league performance has been much more encouraging in his buildup on rehab with a 2.87 ERA across 31 1⁄3 innings.
The Brewers made a pair of other roster moves, beginning with Hoby Milner’s placement on the 15-day injured list, opening up the active roster spot for Hall. A left shoulder impingement sidelined the lefty who had covered 53 innings this year. His 4.92 ERA isn’t incredible, but his xERA of 3.27 is still reason to hope for a quick return to action. The second move was transferring right-handed reliever Enoli Paredes to the 60-day injured list, opening up the 40-man spot for Hall.
